Mr Sanjay Dalmia is extending lifetime financial support towards the Late Shri Ram Prasad Bismil nephew, Raj Bahadur Tomar family an Indian revolutionary and freedom fighter. New Delhi, March 18th 2018: Honouring the supreme sacrifice of India’s freedom fighters, Sanjay Dalmia, one of the leading Delhi-based industrialists,organized an event through his NGO —Bharat Maa Shaheed Samman Trust. Well-known for his philanthropy, the ace industrialist felicitated the families of our great freedom fighters in the annual event, inviting them from different parts of the country. The event was held on Friday, March 17th 2018, at 9 Tees January Marg, New Delhi. On this year’s occasion, Sanjay Dalmia announced the new initiative of his trust, which is focused towards supporting and uplifting the lives of families of ‘Freedom fighters of India’. As a part of this initiative, Mr Dalmia is extending lifetime financial support towards the Late Shri Ram Prasad Bismil nephew, Raj Bahadur Tomar family, an Indian revolutionary and freedom fighter. said Mr Dalmia. Commemorating the indomitable zeal of our fighters, the event also included ‘Bharat Maa Gaurav Sandhya’, a musical program of patriotic songs to instil a sense of pride among the youth of the society. The Bharat Maa Shaheed Samman Trust honours the families of those heroes who stood up and fought for the country’s freedom, even at the cost of their very lives. They petrified the rulers with their patriotic zeal. The country is proud of the heroism of the freedom fighters, according to Sanjay Dalmia. Mr Dalmiafirmly believes that people who gave this nation its freedom should never be forgotten. He emphasizes that it becomes imperative to engage with the youth and encourage them to be proud of the rich history our great nation boasts of. This calls for a dire need to encourage the events,which glorify and recognize the freedom fighters of our country. “For our nation to emerge as a super power we need to revive the spirit of patriotism in the country. Passion for the betterment of the country should be in the heart of each and every individual,” believes Mr Dalmia. Statistics show that more than 1,000 families have lost their sons, husbands or fathers over the last two decades. Through his initiative, Sanjay Dalmia has urged people to contribute for the welfare of the families of these brave fighters. “As a responsible citizen of India, it is our duty to give back to the nation in whatever ways we can. India’s leading business houses and families should join hands together and contribute in some form,” he said. The Bharat Maa Shaheed Samman Trust was founded by Sanjay Dalmia with the sole aim of acknowledging the supreme sacrifice and expressing gratitude to the freedom fighters. The trust also extends financial support to the dependents of these martyrs. It strives to ensure that each and every martyr’s family get the required support, and don’t live an underprivileged life. Ram Prasad Bismil: Bismil, the Indian revolutionary who participated in Mainpuri Conspiracy of 1918, and the Kakori conspiracy of 1925, both against the British Empire, is remembered even today for his contribution to the Indian Independence movement. He was sentenced to death along with Ashfaqulla Khan for the Kakori train robbery. Ram Prasad Bismil and Ashfaqulla Khan were 30 years and 27 years of age, respectively. Ram Prasad Bismil became a member of the Hindustan Republican Association at a very young age. It was only through this revolutionary organisation that Ram Prasad Bismil came to know other freedom fighters like Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Ashfaqulla Khan, Rajguru, Govind Prasad, Premkishan Khanna, Bhagawati Charan, Thakur Roshan Singh and Rai Ram Narain. Bismil met Ashfaqulla Khan through elder brother. When Bismil was declared absconder after the Mainpuri Conspiracy, Khan’s brother used to tell him about the bravery and Urdu poetry of Bismil. Since then, Ashfaq was very keen on meeting Bismil because of his poetic attitude. He became friends with Bismil in a private gathering where they read couplets. Bismil inspired many young Indian’s during Independence war againts britishers with his bravery and patriotic poem. He had different pen names like Ram, Agyat and Bismil. But he got popular with Bismilname. His famous poem- “Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab humare Dil me Hai still continues to resonate in every Indian’s heart.
