MICROSOFT PLAYED A MAJOR ROLE IN INDIAN START-UP GROWTH

NEW DELHI- According to the India Citizenship Report, 2017 Microsoft India not only contributed to the Indian start-up growth story but also played an important role in supporting, grooming and mentoring over 4000 Indian startups, skill training for 30,000 youth and helped train 26,000 teachers in collaboration with several other State Governments and Non-Profit organizations between April 2016 and March 2017 in India. Microsoft India said that India’s entrepreneurship being recognized as the driving force of the market and would give rise to a more robust economy. In the coming years these new developments of India will be an important contribution to the economic development of the country. Microsoft is committed promoting these Indian startups. The company supported and guided the startups with the programmes like BizSpark, Microsoft Accelerator etc. BizSpark is a major initiative of Microsoft to boost start-up ecosystem in India. The startups will be adopting the Microsoft Cloud Accelerator Programme served to accelerate the adoption of services and transform business and governance in a mobile-first and cloud-first world. At the same time, Microsoft India has trained over 8,124 teachers in Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh benefitting 361,000 students.
