NEW DELHI- The State Government will conduct skill competition at its respective district as part of India Skills 2018 and World Skill International Competition 2019. The Centre has instructed the States and Union Territories to conduct the competition among the students of skill training competition and prepare the action plan and strategies. Sources said, preliminary competitions will be held at district-level and the selected students will participate at the state-level competition. The students, who will be selected by the state, will participate at the regional level competitions. The students, who will be selected at the regional-levels will participate at national-level skill competitions India Skills. The toppers of the national level contest will get an opportunity to participate in the largest skill completion in the world to be held next year in Russia called the World Skills Competition. The students in the age group of 16 to 22 years, including SC, ST and physically-challenged can participate in the competition. The Union government will facilitate the students selected for the international event. Corporate houses can also sponsor the participants for their training and necessary preparedness. The Centre will provide `10-50 lakh to each state in this regard under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) scheme.
